Legal profiles

A legal profile is a set of details about the person or company on whose behalf the shop works.

It is different from a shop. A shop shows products and accepts orders. A legal profile explains who stands behind the sales and which details can be checked.

One seller can have several shops. Sometimes they work through the same legal entity, and sometimes through different ones.

For example, a seller can use one legal profile for one shop and another legal profile for another shop. This is needed when the business form, legal name, or registration details are different.

Do not create extra legal profiles without a reason. The more accurate the structure is, the easier it is to keep shops and verifications in order.

In the cabinet, open the Legal profiles section.

There you can create a new profile or open an existing one if editing is available.

In the form, sellers usually check:

  1. country;
  2. legal form;
  3. IIN, BIN, or another registration number depending on the form;
  4. legal name;
  5. legal address.

Legal forms in the interface are used to fill in details. This article does not help you choose a business form and does not replace tax or registration advice.

How to fill in details​

Before saving, check every field:

  1. the country matches your registration documents;
  2. the legal form is selected correctly;
  3. the registration number is entered without extra characters;
  4. the legal name matches the documents;
  5. the legal address is written the way it should be written for your business.

If you are not sure, stop and check your documents. It is better to correct the details before verification than to submit an application with a mistake.

Draft, saving, and verification​

A legal profile can be saved as a draft if the current interface shows that option. A draft helps you avoid losing entered details while you are not yet ready to submit the profile for verification.

After saving, the profile can be submitted for document verification if the Submit for verification action is available in the cabinet.

A shop can be connected with a specific legal profile. This helps the buyer understand on whose behalf the shop works, and helps FastyShop verify seller details in the right context.

If you have several shops, check which legal profile each shop is connected to. Different shops of the same seller can have different legal profiles.

What happens when important details change​

If a legal profile has already been verified, changing important details may return it to draft or require verification again. This is normal: buyers and FastyShop need to understand that current details match the documents again.

Do not change confirmed details without a reason. If the change is necessary, prepare the documents and be ready to submit the profile for verification again if the cabinet asks you to do so.

What to do if...​

Check the required fields and registration number format. If the form shows an error near a field, correct that specific field.

If the error repeats after you check the details, refresh the page and try again. If the problem does not go away, contact support and describe which field you stopped at.

There is a mistake in the IIN, BIN, or name​

Correct the details before submitting for verification. If the profile is already under verification and editing is unavailable, open the verification application and see whether you can withdraw it or submit corrections.

The profile is already under verification, but details need to change​

Check the available actions in the Seller verification section. If you can withdraw the application or submit corrections, use that action. If there are no such actions, contact support.

You do not understand which business form to choose​

Do not choose a form at random. Check your registration documents or get advice from a specialist. FastyShop shows the form so you can fill in details, but it does not choose the business form for the seller.

Check the shop settings and the list of legal profiles. If the cabinet does not have an action for changing the connection, contact support before actively showing the shop to buyers.
