Payments and delivery

Payments and delivery in FastyShop are shop terms that the seller describes in the cabinet in advance. The buyer sees these terms during checkout, chooses a suitable receiving method and an available payment method, and the selected data is saved in the order.

Currently, FastyShop does not accept payment for goods or delivery, is not an acquiring provider, does not organize delivery, and does not store goods in a warehouse. The seller fulfills the terms they set in the shop settings.

FastyShop may create or suggest starter payment and order receiving methods to make the shop easier to launch. But these settings do not mean they automatically fit every seller. Before sending the link to buyers, check that the enabled methods match your real process.

What FastyShop does

FastyShop helps:

  1. show the buyer available ways to receive the order;
  2. show payment methods available for the selected delivery;
  3. save the buyer's choice in the order;
  4. show the seller payment, delivery, address, comments, and statuses in the order details.

FastyShop does not replace the agreement between the seller and the buyer. If a payment or delivery method requires a manual action, the seller must perform it and update the order in the cabinet when that action is available.

What remains the seller's responsibility

The seller is responsible for:

  1. enabling at least one clear delivery or order pickup method;
  2. enabling at least one payment method;
  3. writing instructions without ambiguity;
  4. specifying a delivery price if one is needed;
  5. checking payment and delivery compatibility;
  6. contacting the buyer in time if something needs clarification;
  7. issuing a receipt or confirming document for their sale if applicable to their activity and payment method;
  8. handling exchanges, product returns, and money refunds for their orders;
  9. not promising the buyer terms the seller cannot fulfill.

If you use payment on receipt, transfer, invoice, or another manual method, describe it as an instruction for the buyer. Do not describe it as payment inside FastyShop.

Minimal setup path

For the first launch, the short path is enough:

  1. open the needed shop in the seller cabinet;
  2. set up delivery methods;
  3. set up payment methods;
  4. check that payment is compatible with the needed delivery methods;
  5. open the storefront and check checkout through the buyer's eyes;
  6. after a test or first real order, check how the data appears in the order.

If you have several shops, configure terms separately for each shop. One shop's terms must not accidentally describe another shop.

What matters for the launch checklist

The shop launch checklist has two separate steps: setting up payment and setting up delivery or receiving. They count as complete only after the seller has checked the current terms in the cabinet and saved or confirmed them.

Payment check means you made sure that:

  1. at least one payment method is enabled;
  2. the buyer understands when and how to pay;
  3. a manual payment method is not described as online payment inside FastyShop;
  4. the payment method is compatible with the needed delivery or pickup.

Delivery or receiving check means you made sure that:

  1. at least one order receiving method is enabled;
  2. the buyer understands where and how to receive the order;
  3. an address is requested only where it is really needed;
  4. the delivery price and instructions do not contradict your real process.

If starter methods already exist, still open the settings and read them through the buyer's eyes. If they do not fit, change the text, compatibility, or enabled methods before the first order.

What this section includes

Read the pages in this order:

  1. Delivery methods - pickup, delivery, instructions, delivery price, and buyer address.
  2. Payment methods - manual payment methods, payment on receipt, Kaspi/invoice/transfer, and compatibility with delivery.
  3. How the buyer sees payment and delivery - what is shown during checkout and why a payment method can depend on delivery.
  4. How selected methods appear in an order - where the seller checks the buyer's choice and related statuses.
  5. What to do if there is a payment or delivery problem - common situations and quick checks.

What this section does not include

This section does not describe as FastyShop features:

  1. online card payment inside FastyShop;
  2. acquiring, bank integrations, automatic Kaspi integration, or automatic payment confirmation;
  3. delivery by FastyShop, warehouses, tracking, or guaranteed delivery times;
  4. returns, disputes, and money refunds as a separate platform process;
  5. tariffs and payment for the FastyShop service itself.

Working with an already placed order is described in detail in Seller orders. Seller tariffs and limits are described separately in Tariffs and limits. Here we cover shop settings and how they appear on the checkout page and in the order.

Main rule

Write terms so the buyer understands them before placing the order. If a term requires a call, manual invoice, pickup, or separate agreement, say that directly in the instruction.
